Barney Frank to introduce new bill after April20th, 2009.

Sorry for not posting for many months or you could say for years.  Lets begin with some positive news towards online poker.

Congressman, Barney Frank said in its report that he is going to launch the new gambling bill this month, but after 20th. Frank's bill focuses on legalizing online gambling in United States which means playing poker and casino's on internet will be no problem.

The current bill (UIGEA) will be overturn if the bill passes in the U.S senate. One of the supporters of online gambling bill stated that "its not going to be an easy task for the bill to get passed and regulated over night, we are trying utmost hard for the bill to get through".

Recently, Washington court declared  online poker illegal to play and that was suppose to be the third attempt for making poker clear from current rules and regulations. Things are not yet cleared as US citizens are still gambling online without the fear of prosecution.

                                Poker Tips Article

Selectivity and aggression are highly regarded traits of poker strategy. We have covered the selective part so now let us turn to aggression. You will raise for many reasons, but you should rarely call a raise.

Pre-flop, you want to raise with the strongest hands to get money into the pot and to narrow the field so opponents won't get lucky with random hands. By raising things up before any cards are dealt you send a message to the rest of the table. You should always raise with monster hands like pocket aces, kings, queens, jacks and tens as well as suited A-K, A-Q, A-J and K-Q. Unsuited hands that warrant a raise are A-K, A-Q. These guidelines are not set in stone and you will have lower standards for raising in late position, especially if no one has acted in front of you. Re-raise with aces, kings and queens to protect your hand.

Don't waste the hands you've been waiting for by merely limping into a pot or allowing your opponents do the same. I often hear players complain about not being able to bet people off a hand. Which in a lot of cases is true, but think about this way: if you don't raise the pot you are giving your opponent infinite chances to draw out on you. Make them pay the price of admission to see another card when you have the best of it.

On the flip side of this strategy is what to do when there is a raise in front of you? Cold-calling a raise with mediocre or marginal hands is one of the most costly and common mistakes a poker player makes. Think about the hands you would raise with and in most cases give your opponent credit for those hands. You need stronger hand to call a raise than to make a raise.

My first Poker article which will tell you some important poker tells.

Some General Poker Tells

There are different types of poker tells, but today I am going to discuss one of the most important poker tell that is – Choosing Your Seat

The seat that you select in poker game can do much to determine how much you’ll earn. Many players choose their seats on the basis of hunches or superstition.

Where there’s choice of chairs available, you can watch them stand near the table overwhelmed by the decision they must make. They wait, sometimes for ten seconds or more, until the inspiration strikes them. Then their spine tingles mysteriously, a mental arrow points the direction and they approach the lucky seat confidently.

Some people think superstition is silly and a seat’s a seat. That’s half right. Superstition is silly, but seat is not a seat. Some are much better then others. Not only is seat selection important when you first enter the game, its often profitable to change seats when better once becomes available. Remember, poker action movies clockwise.

Some of the most valuable reasons for choosing a certain seat are not tell related. It’s good to sit behind of the opponents who play too many pots but who are unaggressive. That way when you raise, these players will already have money invested. If you’re on their right and raise, they probably won’t play you’ll lose their action. Also, sit to left of very aggressive, knowledgeable players. They can interfere with your strategy, so let them act first.

                                 Pkr Poker Room Review

When you take a seat at a poker table, there's nothing more intimidating than a grizzled looking gambling veteran staring you down through mirrored shades while doing weird and wonderful things with the poker chips in front of him. It says - no make that shouts - "don't mess with me".

If you're in any doubt as to the role chip tricks play in developing table image, just watch any episode of the World Poker Tour or World Series of Poker, where you'll see every player constantly play with their chips, regardless of whether they're a poker pro or internet qualifier.

And as in so many walks of life, what people see on TV they replicate in real life. Play in any home game or at any casino these days and you can't help but notice players riffling, rolling and flipping their chips during and between hands.

Making poker chip tricks work online

"Every poker player, regardless of experience, loves chip tricks" says Leon Walters, Chief Operating Officer of Pkr poker. Walters goes on to explain that "PKR's key challenge was to get these tricks into the game so that the animation works within a three-dimensional environment".

And how they work. Players at PKR will be able to perform a wide-range of chip tricks including chip shuffling, knuckle rolls, chip spreads and chip balances. What's more, PKR's team of artists and animators are working on new chip trick additions so that the range of poker chip tricks offered are ever-expanding. As Walter's says, "If you can do it in real life, you'll be able to do it in the game."

Making the poker chip tricks relevant to the game

"One thing we didn't want to do was just include poker chip tricks in the game for the sake of it" continues Walters. "So we tried to replicate the role that poker chip tricks play in real life and import it into our virtual environment."

PKR's innovative solution has been to apply a loyalty point value to chip tricks, with complex tricks carrying a greater loyalty point tariff than simpler ones. As Walter's explains, "Just in real life, the more you play poker the more chip tricks you can perform. By having to 'learn' how to perform chip tricks, we've managed to combine the fun of performing them with the serious idea of why players value them."

Internet Poker gives players the freedom to play anytime of the day or night, playing in the comfort of their own homes. Some Poker players say that they find online poker just not the same experience as home games or playing in a casino. Indeed online Poker is different in many ways from the traditional game of Poker. Internet Poker is a whole new variation of the game.

The main obvious difference is that you are not sitting right across from your opponents, removing any and all ability to watch your opponents' reactions and body language. The new world of playing Poker online brings a new form of Internet Poker tells in which one watches and analyzes the speed at which an opponent bets. You don't have to see a player in person to identify a tell. As with traditional Poker, the concept is still the same - get to know your opponent's playing style and habits, because every action your opponent makes could potentially give you information on what kind of cards they are holding.

Although some players will still prefer to play their weekly home game, the past few years have seen a tremendous jump in the number of online Poker players - millions of people worldwide now participate in online Poker games and tournaments. The software and graphics are also becoming more and more sophisticated. With the popularity of Internet Poker growing each day, the new face of Poker is here to stay.
